The Calendar says Oct 9th but the weather says otherwise!

The lodge is all buttoned down for the season, but we have been experiencing the warmest dryest fall since record keeping…although we are enjoying it immensely the fish trying to get up stream are having a difficult time. We do need some rain…and it will come! Many rivers along the coast are experiencing drought like conditions making it very trying for the salmon to reach their destinations up river….will keep you posted on how they do.

Another wonderful Season, 2012

This season started out early in June with a great number of fish out at the hump and down at Bates Beach, although everyone missed going north, no one was dissapointed by┬áthe fish productivty down south…..this went on for most of the season as the chinooks seemed to be consentrated in that area for reasons unknown! The fish ranged from 18 to 32 lbs and most groups went home extremely pleased.

A few photos of some nice catches and happy fishers and some delectable food!
