February Here we are….and it looks like this today.

After a long wet and windy January it was nice to see the calendar change to February with hopes of spring in the air. But to date it is clear winter is not over! January broke all kinds of weather records, rain and wind storms, freezing temperatures and snow. The storms and huge amounts of rain have caused rivers to overflow and with dangerous flooding in many areas of Vancouver Island and the mainland.

The daffodils and crocuses are poking their heads and promising that spring is just around the corner. Watch for some more spring like photos in the near future!

There is still plenty of time to book a trip for your family, group or company and create and adventure for the 2020 season. Book a fishing trip, some adventure eco touring, kayaking or a quiet getaway on our beautiful island BC coastal paradise.

Call anytime -1-250-830-8179 or email for more information at : info@steepisland.com. We look forward to creating a fantastic coastal adventure for you.

I have included a link to DFO (Department of Fisheries and Oceans) latest newsletter if you have an interest in the state of affairs of our local oceans and what is being done. We still do not have the 2020 regulations for this season and again they will be announced here as soon as we get them.
