Getting to Steep Island is part of the adventure. Steep Island is located in the famous Discovery Passage approximately half way up the east coast of Vancouver Island. We are situated between the City of Campbell River and Quadra Island. There are many options to getting here. Once you have reached Campbell River we will take care of getting you to the island itself, (a 10 minute boat ride).

If you plan to drive to Campbell River from Vancouver enjoy the wonderful service that the BC Ferries has to offer. From either the Tsawwassen or the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminals to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, enjoy the pleasant scenic one and a half to two hour boat ride to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. Once in Naniamo take a two hour drive north to Campbell River. Once here we will meet you at the dock.

 

Kenmore Air runs a schedule float plane service from the Seattle area at Kenmore Terminal directly to our dock.

There is a shuttle service between the Kenmore Terminal and Seatac (Seattle's Int. Airport). The flight is apporximately 2 hours. Contact Kenmore Air for more information and reservations. NEW this year Kenmore Air is also offering a wheel plane service from Boing Field to Campbell River Airport. Find all the information in their web site.

Pacific Coastal Airlines and Central Mountain Air both have daily flights from Vancouver to the Campbell River Airport.

If you are arriving from the east of Canada, West Jet flies from Calgary to Comox daily.
